Skin food: Maca chocolate smoothie

Looking for a pick-me-up? This maca chocolate smoothie by our friends at Foodin tastes delicious and gives your skin and mind a boost, when work at the home office lags. Bananas are a good source of fibre for a happy gut, cocoa contain a high level of antioxidants, which help protect your skin and almonds are high in vitamin E, which protects cells from oxidative damage.


1/2 a frozen banana

2 dl oat or almond milk

1 tsp almond paste

1 tsp sesame seeds

1 tsp raw cocoa powder

1 tsp raw cocoa nibs

1 tbs maca powder

1 tbs hemp protein powder

Makes 1 portion. Vegan, raw and gluten-free.

How to

Measure all ingredients exvept the cocoa nibs into a blender and blend well. Add the nibs, and do one quick spin with the blender to leave bits of the cocoa nibs in the smoothie. Mittaa aineet blenderiin kaakaonibsejä lukuun ottamatta ja sekoita.
