Skinfood: Green juice

Each month Maia Söderlund from Maia's Green Medicine shares a recipe  to boost healthy skin from the inside. We're kicking off the year with a green juice.

1/2 cucumber
2 handfuls of spinach
3-4 leaves of kale
1 apple
2 handfuls of mint (moroccan)
2 cm (about 1/2 inch) piece of fresh ginger
1 lime or 1/2 lemon

Wash the greens, peel the lime/lemon and ginger (if not organic) and put all ingredients in a juicer.

Alternatively, use a blender or hand mixer, adding a splash of water if needed. In this case, remove the stems from the kale, core the apple and pick the mint leaves before mixing and squeeze the juice from the lime or lemon. Grating the ginger or cutting it in small pieces can be a good idea as well, depending of the potency of your blender.

Pour up and enjoy!
