Hydrate your skin after the holidays
Summer often means sun - and sun exposure inevitably means dehydrated skin. After the holidays it’s good to pay some extra attention to your skincare routine, as skin might feel dry, rough and flaky. Focus on a routine with loads of moisture to quench your thirsty skin.
Every skincare routine should start with a good cleanse. Opt for a mild and nourishing cleansing product suitable for drier skin. Our gentle Milk Cleanser made with nourishing canola oil and conditioning xylitol works great.
If you like, go on with a deep cleansing mask and/or a good peel to get rid of dry flakes and dead skin and to stimulate skin's circulation. Make sure possible masks or peels are gentle enough not to upset drier skin.
Move on to moisturisers. Here you cannot overdo, as chlorine, salt water, and rays all have the potential of drying out the skin. We suggest you incorporate a toner into your routine, like our balancing and hydrating Toner Spray, which soothes and conditions with multitasking, natural ectoin, good old fashioned plant based glycerine, smoothing sea kelp and calming liquorice root. Continue with a light day cream, no need to go heavy and greasy. Our gel-cream combo, the Face Cream, is made with plant based glycerin and sodium PCA to quench thirsty skin and colloidal oatmeal to prevent water loss.
