Milk or Gel Cleanser - how to choose?
Some days your skin needs a good but gentle cleanse, other days it needs a deep cleanse that doesn’t strip your skin. Or maybe you prefer to double cleanse. Our Milk Cleanser and Gel Cleanser can be used separately or together, depending on your skin day and how you like to cleanse.
Our Milk Cleanser is a rich but easily spreadable emulsion that efficiently yet gently removes oil, dirt and makeup, using a combo of canola oil and plant-derived glycerin. Xylitol conditions skin for a fresh and comfortable feel. The Milk washes off easily, leaving skin feeling clean. It is a great option for dehydrated, very dry or very irritated skin, and also if you don't want to rinse with water - the Milk can we wiped off with tissue or some toner-soaked cotton.
How to use: Apply generously to a cotton pad, spread onto dry skin and cleanse face with pad, or massage directly onto dry skin with clean, dry fingers. Rinse face with water or wipe off with tissue or a toner soaked cotton pad. For a deeper cleanse, use a damp washcloth.
A deep cleanse should be thorough, but never strip your skin from its natural lipids, making it "squeaky" clean. Many people make the mistake of over-cleansing their skin, disrupting the skin's acid mantle, which causes the skin to produce more oil to compensate, leading to dryness and even breakouts. Our clear, oil-free, rather runny and low-foaming Gel Cleanser thoroughly dissolves oil, dirt and makeup with a potent yet skin-friendly, non-ionic and plantbased surfactant. Betaine and xylitol condition skin, leaving it with a pure, but never tight, feel. The Gel also doubles as a gentle exfoliant - leave on for 5-10 minutes and the rinse. For sensitive skinned guys, the Gel is also a gentle alternative to harsh shaving creams.
How to use: Thoroughly massage a coin-sized amount onto dry skin with clean, dry fingers, add water and then rinse away. For an even deeper cleanse, wipe off with a damp washcloth.
Both our cleansers cleanse effectively on their own, but are also an ideal combo for double cleansing, for e.g. heavier makeup. Start with the Milk and finish up with the Gel. When double cleansing, start by applying the Milk to dry skin, wipe or wash it off, and then apply Gel to dry skin, and then rinse.
