In skincare, xylitol is used as a humectant, meaning it has the ability to bind moisture in skin. It’s a sugar alcohol, that moisturizes and conditions skin and has anti-bacterial properties.
Some research suggests that xylitol has the ability to inhibit bacterial biofilm on skin, which in turn may be the cause of many skin issues.
The xylitol we use is derived from European hardwood.
We use xylitol in our Mild Milk Cleanser and Gentle Gel Cleanser. You'll also find it in our Purifying Serum.
