Our creamy, hydrating and extremely gentle Body Cleanser is a trusted favourite for even the most delicate skin, perfect for both shower and bath. It gently yet effectively cleanses the skin, leaving it soft and clean without any tightness.
The Body Cleanser is a non-foaming, completely oil-free and sulphate-free light cleansing emulsion for the body. It cleans with gentle, plant-based surfactants that do not disturb the skin’s natural barrier, while plant-based glycerin leaves the skin feeling hydrated and soft.
A family favourite, the Body Cleanser is ideal for sensitive and problem skin that tends to dry easily or doesn’t tolerate oils. Versatile and mild, it can also be used for intimate areas and facial cleansing.

Glycerin
Humectant and skin protecting. Technically a sugar alcohol, glycerin is one of the oldest, most common and most versatile humectants used in cosmetics. It moisturises and protects the skin, accelerates skin barrier recovery and has antimicrobial properties, among other things. We use vegetable, rapeseed-derived glycerin.
Polyglyceryl-2 Stearate
Skin conditioning (emollient) and surfactant (emulsifying). One third of the non-ionic plant-based Cosmos certified surfactant and emulsifier - i.e. an ingredient enabling us to mix water and oil - we’ve used in this product. Bonus: this emulsifier combo has been shown to selectively preserve and restore the cutaneous microflora of skin.
Glyceryl Stearate
Skin conditioning (emollient) and surfactant (emulsifying). One third of the non-ionic plant-based Cosmos certified surfactant and emulsifier - i.e. an ingredient enabling us to mix water and oil - we’ve used in this product. Stearyl Alcohol
Skin conditoning (emollient), surfactant (emulsifying) and emulsion stabilising. One third of the non-ionic plant-based Cosmos certified surfactant and emulsifier - i.e. an ingredient enabling us to mix water and oil - we’ve used in the product. Bonus: this emulsifier combo has been shown to selectively preserve and restore the cutaneous microflora of skin.
Sodium Levulinate
Skin conditioning and preservative. Sodium levulinate is the sodium salt of levulinic acid, which is an organic acid derived from in this case sugarcane.
Potassium Sorbate
Preservative. Potassium sorbate is widely used in a variety of foods and personal care products. It works by inhibiting the growth of molds, yeasts and bacteria to preserve the freshness and quality of foods, beverages, or cosmetic products. Potassium sorbate is the potassium salt of sorbic acid, which is naturally occurring in some berries, although virtually all of the world's production of sorbic acid, as well as potassium sorbate, is manufactured synthetically.
Citric Acid
Buffering agent. Citric acid is a commonly used buffering, i.e. pH adjusting, agent in cosmetics. It is made through bacterial fermentation and shifts the pH of the product into the acidic range. This is closer to the natural pH of the skin, which may range from 4 to 7, but is usually thought to be between 5 and 6, with recent studies, however, indicating it to be below 5.

Our owners, CEO Kristina and cosmetic chemist Jaana, formulate all our products in our Helsinki lab, and test them on themselves - both have a long history of sensitive and problem skin.

Balanced pH for healthy skin
The Body Cleanser has a pH around 5.5 (healthy skin's own pH is slightly acidic, between 4.8 and 5.5) and will not upset or irritate skin.
A minimum of ingredients
The Cleanser contains only eight ingredients. Formulated with plant-based and gentle cleansing agents that cleanse without foaming and without upsetting the skin barrier. The Cleanser is a light emulsion with plenty of natural humectants to hydrate skin, but is still completely oil-free, making it ideal for all kinds of sensitive and problem skin.
