Madecassoside

Here at Laponie, we source and test all ingredients ourselves. We choose them with care, so that they work perfectly for sensitive and problem-skin. All our ingredients are natural and vegan, and we aim to meet and know all of the producers personally. For every product, we provide a full breakdown of all the ingredients and explain why they are included.

Madecassoside

Madecassoside is a highly purified glycosylated triterpen of the Centella asiatica plant. It activates collagen expression, normalises hyperproliferation of keratinocytes, has anti-inflammatory properties and a visible effect on excessive desquamation.

Madecassoside is great for sensitive and very dry skin, due to its anti-itching, anti-redness, anti-flaking and smoothing effect. It also hydrates skin.

Madecassoside has skin-rejuvenating properties, which makes it great for helping scars heal. We use 1.5% of madecassoside in our Calming Serum.

The madecassoside we use is sustainably (UEBT/Nagoya Protocol) wild-harvested on Madagascar and purified in France.
