Our water-less, preservative-free and fragrance-free Cleansing & Balancing Face Mask comes in an innovative powder-to-gel formula, that mixes with water to form a light gel. The Mask exfoliates, soothes and hydrates sensitive and problem skin without drying - skin will be left feeling soft, calm, clean and balanced.
The Mask is not clay-based but is instead formulated in base of potato starch, which gives the Mask its gel-texture, and is a great choice for anyone dealing with both sensitisation and e.g. acne, rosacea, POD, congestion and oiliness.
The Mask contains sea salt for gentle exfoliation, immunity-boosting ReConnecting Nature extract from the Finnish forest (so-called "forest dust"), microbiome-balancing and hydrating probiotic Finnish oat xylitol and Finnish fireweed extract.
Did you know: Fireweed is a true gift for sensitive and problem skin, with its soothing, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-oxidative and skin-balancing properties. The exctract has been developed by our chemist Jaana, as part of her PhD research.

Thickener. Modified potato starch is the gelling agent responsible for the Mask's pwder-to-gel formula.
Maris Sal
Humectant and skin conditioning. Sea salt. Lightly exfoliates and moisturises skin.
Humus Extract
Conditioning. ReConnecting Nature extract. Finnish "Forest Dust". The ReConnecting Nature extract is scientifically proven to boost immunity and is the result of 20 years of research by a team of biochemists from leading Finnish universities. It's dermatologically and tolerance tested and is suitable for all skin types. It promotes skin integrity for an enhanced skin barrier function, faster regeneration and repair, reduces skin redness and irritation and increases levels of age-defying collagen.
Epilobium Angustifolium Extract
Skin conditioning. Fireweed extract. A soothing, balancing, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inlammatory and anti-oxidative powder made from the Finnish fireweed plant. Our chemist Jaana developed the extract as part of her PhD research.
Xylitol
Humectant and skin conditioning. Xylitol is a sugar alcohol and moisturises and conditions skin, whilst possessing anti-bacterial properties. There is some interesting research that suggests xylitol has the ability to inhibit bacterial biofilm on skin, which in turn may be the cause of many skin issues. The one we use is made in Finland from Finnish oats, and has probiotic properties.

Description
Our broad spectrum mineral SPF protects, hydrates and soothes all kinds of sensitive and problem skin.
Made with just one, single SPF filter in the form of non-nano zinc oxide, our Cream also contains natural ectoin to soothe redness and strengthen skin for a healthy skin barrier, while Swedish Algica (silica) from algae hydrates and balances sebum production. The result is a nourishing, slightly pearly cream, that sinks easily into skin for a non-sticky, light and transclucent finish.
Can be used under makeup and around the eyes and is suitable for children.
Do not stay too long in the sun, even while using a sunscreen product. Keep babies and young children out of direct sunlight. Over-exposure to the sun is a serious health threat.
Did you know: in terms of physical SPF filters non-nano zinc dioxide is the ideal choice for sensitive skin because the bigger particles in the filter (that’s the non-nano part) sit on top of skin and zinc-oxide as such is a safe, mild and non-irritating choice. Non-nano zinc-oxide is approved worldwide as an UV filter.

The Mask contains fireweed extract developed by our co-owner and chemist Jaana. Fireweed is commonly found in Finland, and has soothing, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-oxidative and skin-balancing properties. The Mask also contains ReConnecting Nature extract, i.e. forest dust, derived from Finnish forests, which is the result of 20 years of research and boosts immunity, soothes irritation and promotess skin integrity.
